Creator of “Cops” Show Dies Driving In Off-Road Race

John Langley, the creator of the show “Cops,” died driving in an off-road race in Mexico on Saturday.

Langley died while competing in the Coast to Coast Ensenada-San Felipe 250.

It appears the cause of death was a heart attack. Langley was 78.

His show “Cops” was one of the first reality shows on television when it aired back in 1989.

The long-running show lasted 32 seasons on Fox and later on Spike TV.
