DNR Raising Money For More Track Chairs

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources is raising money for track chairs at 16 Michigan State Parks.

The track chairs can help explore areas of the park that are not easily accessible by a wheelchair.

These off-road, electronic chairs can easily handle trails, snow, sand and up to 8 inches of water.

They are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are free.

The Michigan State Parks that currently have track chairs available are:

  • Belle Isle Park,
  • Grand Haven State Park,
  • Island Lake Recreation Park,
  • Marbury State Park,
  • Muskegon State Park,
  • Tahquamenon Falls State Park and,
  • Waterloo Recreation Park.
