MSP Investigates Serious Injury Crash In Montcalm County
The Michigan State Police Lakeview Post responded to a single vehicle crash that took place early Wednesday morning in Montcalm County.
A 29-year-old male from Greenville sustained serious injuries after crashing a 2003 Chevrolet pickup truck.
A preliminary investigation revealed the pickup truck was traveling eastbound on M-57 when it crossed both lanes and ran off the road to the left.
Troopers say the vehicle struck a berm, went airborne, rolled numerous times and then caused the driver to be ejected from the vehicle.
Troopers say the driver was not wearing his seatbelt and believe alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
The driver was transported to a Grand Rapids hospital by Aero Med and is currently in critical condition.
The Michigan State Police continues to investigate the crash.
