Researchers are testing how well the COVID-19 vaccine protects people who have received organ transplants.
They want to know if a third shot will help transplant patients or other people with weak immune systems.
30 patients were given a third dose of the vaccine after they requested it.
A third of those people, who had no protection after their first two shots, developed antibodies after getting the third shot.
The research was published Monday in Annals of Internal Medicine.
