Munson Healthcare is expanding its covid infusion treatment program.
The one-time infusion is called monoclonal antibody therapy.
The infusion is for individuals who test positive for the coronavirus and have underlying conditions.
It looks to prevent the coronavirus from developing into worse symptoms and prevent hospitalizations.
“Anyone who could be at risk for progression to moderate to severe disease, we would like to see those patients receive treatment,” said Bonnie Kruszka, Chief Nursing Officer of Ambulatory Services for Munson Healthcare.
Patients no longer need a doctor’s referral to undergo the treatment, and can now self refer to this program through Munson’s Ask A Nurse Line at 231-935-0951.
