Inside The Kitchen at Burger Eatin’ Bastard in Frankfort

Burger Eatin Bastard is opening at their new location in Frankfort Thursday.

They’re, of course, serving up burgers just as memorable as their name.

“The sauce that goes on the Dirty Bastard, it’s pretty unique with the porter stout reduction sauce, it really adds a different level to burgers,” said owner Chadd Babcock.

Another fan favorite is the Highlander.

“The fact he puts Greek on a burger is fantastic,” said Samantha Monroe.

“This is the tapenade which is basically like an olive salsa,” Chadd described.

Samantha doesn’t even like olives, but she said they pair well with the tzatziki sauce.

The Highlander is still her top choice, when she isn’t exploring the rest of the menu.

“He’s got everything, I get something different every single time,” she laughed.

“The part is when they say ‘oh my gosh that’s the best burger I’ve ever had,’ or ‘these are the best mahi mahi tacos I have ever had,’ stuff like that,” he said.

Chadd usually brings the ocean to Northern Michigan, but he brought Northern Michigan to the ocean this winter when he packed up the truck and brought it to Florida.

“Everywhere we went we were the most popular, we were always the busiest,” he said.

Now you can find them parked in Frankfort all summer long, serving up everyone’s favorite truffle fries.

“It’s nice here you can look out the window and see people’s reaction and see what’s going on out there, yeah it’s an experience, people can watch you, you can talk to them while you’re cooking,” he explained.

Cooked to perfection with the freshest ingredients, and the most important part…

“Lots of love,” said Chad.

You can find Burger Eatin Bastard at 366 Parkview Lane in Frankfort, and reach them at 231-499-9378.
