Justice Department Secretly Subpoenaed White House Counsel’s Records

The Trump Justice Department secretly subpoenaed account information from White House counsel Don McGahn and his wife.

Apple informed McGahn that his information had been subpoenaed back in 2018.

Two Democratic House members have revealed that their information was also obtained from Apple by the Justice Department.

Those subpoenas were part of an investigation into leaks to the press during the Russia investigation.

It is not clear why the department requested account information from Trump’s White House counsel.

The Senate’s top Democrat has called for the Justice Department to testify on the subpoenas.
