Christmas is still six months away, but that doesn’t mean people are without the holiday spirit right now.
E-Fulfillment in Traverse City donated more than 800 books and stuffed bears to Toys for Tots this week.
The donation is equal to about $22,000 and with the help of two men and a truck, the boxes were moved to a storage facility.
These bears and books will go to families in need this Christmas, and Toys for Tots is grateful for the donation.
“We see the response from this committee, we see the response from this community and it does nothing but just make our hearts swell with pride, not just with this program, but with this community overall,” said Mike Kent of Northwest Michigan Marine Toys for Tots.
Northwest Michigan Toys for Tots covers five counties, and anticipates to help around 7,000 families this year.
