Whitmer Signs Law to Help Veterans Who Move to Michigan Find Work
New legislation signed into law will help veterans seeking work who move to Michigan from another state.
The bill signed by Governor Whitmer on Wednesday will allow veterans, active-duty service members and their dependents to get professional licenses in Michigan if they have a valid out-of-state license.
The application fee will also be waived under the new law.
An estimated 550,000 veterans and family members in Michigan are struggling to get re-licensed in order to find employment.
