Wellness for the Family: Celebrating National Family Health & Fitness Day

National Family Health & Fitness Day is Saturday, June 12th but the idea is something people can do year round, especially during the summer months.  From walking, hiking, biking and even getting out on the water, all of these activities can help families get in physical activity and feel healthy doing it.

Registered dietician, Shanthi Appelo with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has some tips and recommendations for getting families outside and engaging in activities together.
