A Wexford County man is behind bars this morning after stealing a truck and leading police on a chase.
Wexford County police say they were called to the Wexford Civic Center in Cadillac around 12:15 Wednesday afternoon.
That’s where they say a man stole a Silver Dodge pickup truck in the parking lot.
Just a few minutes later, deputies spotted him driving on Plett Road near 13th Street.
He led police on a chase down M-55 South all the way into Missaukee County.
Deputies tried to use a spike strip, but it didn’t work. The driver stopped shortly after and peacefully surrendered.
The name of the driver will be released after he is arraigned.
