Thrift Store Gone to the Dogs & Cats with Cherryland Humane Society
It is truly a store that has gone to the dogs and cats with Cherryland Humane Society in Traverse City. On Memorial Day, Cherryland staff opened their first ever thrift store called, Cherryland Humane Society Thrift, and 100% of the sale proceeds go toward the humane society.
The store located on South Airport Road in Traverse City has everything from clothing to houseware and even pet supplies. You’ll find a little bit of something for everyone including your own animals.
General manager, Sharon Carmean says the new thrift store is another testament to how special Cherryland Humane Society is to the northern Michigan community.
“While the animals are there, they’re basically pets within the shelter. They are loved and adored, trained, groomed, and looked after,” says Carmean.
You can make donations to the Cherryland Humane Society thrift store Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The store is also looking for volunteers during the week and weekends.
