Mt. Pleasant Welcomes Back Festival of Banners

The Festival of Banners is back in Mount Pleasant for its 13th year.

Around 300 banners are now on display throughout Isabella County.

Each one has been decorated by community members and local artists.

Art Reach of Mid-Michigan puts on the festival every year and they say it’s always fun to see the variety of ideas that come to life.

“It’s always kind of fun to see what themes rise to the surface, and I’ll tell you what I love, I love the sense of community that it really brings. Folks drive around town because it’s kind of a scavenger hunt, they finish their banner, but they don’t really know where it’s going to be hanging,” said Amy Powell, Executive Director of Art Reach of Mid-Michigan.

The banners will be on display until the fall.
