An Antrim County man faces charges after being accused of embezzling from his former employer in Traverse City.
The Grand Traverse Sheriff’s Office says they looked back at six years of records at Williams Distributing, where Erik Smith was a manager until he was fired in Feb.
The company’s owner noticed discrepancies in the inventory and financial records, and reported it to the police.
Investigators believe Smith stole more than $180,000,
Smith faces three counts, including a felony charge, of embezzlement.
