Man Charged For Shooting At A Home In Clare County
The Clare County Prosecutor’s Office says a man has been charged Monday after shooting at a home in Clare County Sunday morning.
Deputies say they responded to reports of a man shooting a rifle at a home in the area of Finley Lake and Cedar in Lincoln Township around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
When they arrived, deputies found signs of bullet holes in the home and in the cars parked in the driveway.
Deputies say, through their investigation, they found the suspect’s car at the suspect’s home. Additionally, they say Edwin Perkins, 45 , of Farwell was a neighbor to the home where the incident occurred and was reported to have ran into the woods with the rifle.
The Northern Michigan Mutual Aid Task Force found Perkins in the woods. Deputies say he was taken into custody without incident.
Perkins is charged with weapons-firearms discharge in or at a building, weapons-felony firearm, weapons-firearms discharge from vehicle, two counts of felony firearm, malicious destruction of property, possession of meth, and habitual offender in the fourth degree.
