Michigan health officials are reporting 1,289 new coronavirus cases and 107 additional deaths, 91 deaths were found during a review of vital records .
The state has now had 874,624 total confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 18,607 total deaths related to COVID-19.
As of May 14, 755,119 Michiganders have recovered from the virus.
As of Saturday, May 15, fully vaccinated Michiganders are no longer required to wear a mask or face covering indoors or outdoors.
Under the updated MDHHS Gatherings and Mask Order, Michiganders who are outdoors will no longer need to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
While indoors, fully vaccinated Michiganders will no longer need to wear a mask, but residents who are not vaccinated, or have not completed their vaccinations, must continue to wear a mask or face covering to protect themselves and others.
After July 1, the broad indoor mask mandate will expire.
