Rhode Island Shooting Wounds 9, Search for Suspect Ongoing

Nine people were wounded in a mass shooting in Providence, Rhode Island.

Police say at least three of those nine were seriously or critically injured.

It happened just before 7 p.m. on Thursday when witnesses say shots were fired outside a home.

No arrests have been made, and police say the investigation has just begun.

Providence’s police chief said he believes this is the largest shooting in the city’s history.
