Family of Missing Sault Ste. Marie Man Continues Search For Answers 25 Years Later
A man missing for 25 years.
But his family says they’re closer than ever to getting much needed answers.
Bob Dale was last seen in Chippewa County on May 18th, 1996.
Now his family hopes a renewed focus on the case will help them find the answer they need.
Scott Dale has watched the days since his brother Bob went missing turn to weeks, months and eventually years. 25 years later, he still has no answers about what happened to his brother back on May 18th of 1996.
“I remember getting the phone call that morning, early in the morning, Bob’s wife called us and right away she said Bob’s missing, we can’t find him,” recalled Scott.
Bob and his wife Kristi were at a wedding reception that night at a home, just outside of Sault Ste. Marie.
But exactly what happened after Bob and Kristi left remains a mystery.
Bob’s brother believes a renewed focus on the area and the events of that night may provide much needed clues.
“We want the public to know we’re close, we’re closer than we’ve ever been, we believe we know the when, the why and the how, so we’re just trying to fit that last piece of puzzle in
Kristi says she too wants answers.
“I want closure, I want my children to be able to bury their father, it’s probably the hardest thing they’ve really gone through. If anybody knows, just tell us where his body is, you know, if anything, isn’t that what we need,” said Kristi.
But until those answers come, Bob’s brother says, they’ll keep looking
“We will never as long as I live, my wife and daughter and family, we will never give up, there is no way that we will give up,” said Scott.
