CDC Explores Lifting Mask Mandate for Fully Vaccinated People
The CDC plans to update its mask-wearing guidance for people vaccinated against COVID-19 soon.
CDC Director Rochelle Walensky says they’re waiting on more data about how well the vaccines work against variants before lifting any mask mandates.
It comes as the CDC voted to recommend the Pfizer vaccine for ages 12 to 15.
The dosing for this age group is the same for adults, so pharmacies and providers can use the vaccine supply they already have in stock.
