Michigan Senate starts Approving $66.4 Billion Budget
Republicans who control Michigan’s Senate have started approving a $66.4 billion state budget.
The budget is $728 million less than what was proposed by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
The Democrats have voted against seven of the nine bills proposed.
The Legislature is required to pass the 2020-2021 to 2020-2022 spending bills by July 1.
