Traverse City DDA Unveils Upgrades to Boardman River Walk
The Traverse City Downtown Development Authority held a ribbon cutting Tuesday morning, highlighting some changes to part of the Boardman River walk.
Local leaders got an up close look at some of the newly remodeled parts of the river walk.
They include a new staircase and ADA accessible ramp, allowing more people to enjoy time along the river.
The DDA says they’re excited more people will have access to the river and the boardwalk.
“The Boardman is one that everyone has identified that we’ve had our back to because of the beautiful Great Lakes we have around us, but the river is such an important resource to protect and enjoy,” said DDA CEO Jean Derenzy.
The city of Traverse City and the DDA are working on several more projects to give people better access to the river in the downtown area.
