NASA Spacecraft Heads Home With Samples from Ancient Asteroid

A NASA spacecraft started its two-year trip home on Monday.

The Osiris-Rex explorer was on a mission to collect samples from an asteroid 200 million miles away.

It reached the asteroid back in 2018 and spent two years flying around it.

Last October the robotic explorer collected samples from the ancient space rock.

NASA says almost a pound of rubble was collected, the largest haul since the Apollo moon rocks.
