This week is National Police Week, a time to thank our law enforcement and remember the fallen.
Being a member of law enforcement is a dangerous job where no day is routine.
During this week on May 15 is Peace Officers Memorial Day, a day to thank those who protect our communities and remember those who have paid the ultimate price.
“We’ll have people drop off cookies, we’ll have people drop off lunch, donuts, you know, it’s just all kinds of little things like that just remind the guys that they are appreciated and what we do is important to the community,” said Deputy Chief Eric Eller of the Cadillac Police Department.
President John F. Kennedy started National Police Week in 1962.
