A Traverse City neighborhood is getting some help to prevent future flooding problems.

Cedar Street between West Front and Sixth Streets is getting a makeover. The west-side streets, which run alongside Kids Creek, have been identified in the past as for high water and flooding after heavy rains.

Now, three new culverts are being installed. The work includes new utilities and road work – which is expected to last for the next five to six months.
