Grant Man Arrested In Connection To A Newaygo County Shooting

Michigan State Police say a Grant man is waiting to be arraigned for a Saturday night shooting.

Troopers from the Hart post were called to the 14000 block of S. Mason Dr. near Grant just after 9 on Saturday, May 8th.

Police say callers reported multiple shots fired, some hit a home that had approximately 50 people inside, including children.

State Police say one person suffered minor injuries.

Newaygo County Central Dispatch says it received a noise complaint call from the same area.

A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting.

His name will be released after he’s formally charged.
