Peloton Recalls Treadmills Following Reports of Injuries, 1 Death

Peloton is recalling nearly 125,000 of its treadmills because of safety concerns.

The move comes after reports of dozens of injuries and one death linked to the company’s Tread and Tread Plus treadmills.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a warning back on April 17 that Peloton users with children and pets should discontinue using Peloton’s Tread and Tread Plus treadmills after a child was pulled underneath a treadmill and died.

Peloton will offer full refunds to users of its treadmills and will stop selling the product. The treadmills cost more than $4,200
