Mexico City Overpass Collapses, Killing 23 and Injuring Dozens

UPDATE 8:16 a.m. – 23 people are now confirmed dead

At least 15 people are dead after an overpass collapsed in Mexico City.

Part of the city’s subway system collapsed around 10:30 p.m. Monday night.

A train fell off of the track, trapping cars under rubble.

Mexico City’s mayor says it happened when  “a support beam gave way.”

On top of the 15 dead, at least 70 others are injured.
