Michigan Expands Coronavirus Travel Points Testing Program

Travel Testing

Michigan has expanded its program that allows Michiganders to get tested for the coronavirus while traveling.

The program is an effort to add more testing locations to areas with high volumes of travel.

Travelers can now stop at the Clare Welcome Center to be tested. Testing will be available daily from ten a.m. and five p.m. daily.

Individuals can also be tested at Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City. Testing will be available on Wednesdays from two to ten p.m., Fridays from noon to eight p.m., and Sundays from three to eleven p.m.

Insurance is not required, and those who are tested can get their results through text, email or the traveler’s patient portal.

The State says additional testing sites will be announced as they are confirmed.
