U.S. Will Send AstraZeneca Vaccine to Other Countries In Need

The U.S. is now leading an effort to help fight the coronavirus internationally.

The White House announced yesterday they will give millions of AstraZeneca vaccine doses to other countries in dire need.

AstraZeneca’s vaccine has not received emergency authorization in the U.S.

Once the vaccine clears FDA review, it will be shipped out to other nations.

The White House says the U.S. does not need the AstraZeneca vaccine because the other three are widely available.

The U.S. and other countries are also sending oxygen, ventilators and other PPE to India right now.

They’re currently the world’s COVID-19 hotspot.
