Evart Teen Charged For Allegedly Stabbing 3-Year-Old Six Times

An 18-year-old is charged with several felony offense for allegedly stabbing a 3-year-old in Evart Monday.

Osceola County deputies were called to a house in the City of Evart Monday where they found a young child stabbed multiple times.

Police arrested 18-year-old Isaac Wilkinson in connection to the stabbing.

Wilkinson allegedly stabbed the three-year-old six times with a chef’s knife, in front of the child’s two-year-old sibling.

Wilkinson was charged Wednesday charged with two counts of first-degree child abuse – one for committing the crime in front of a child, torture, assault with the intent to kill, assault with the intent of doing bodily harm, and assault with a dangerous weapon.

“This is just bizarre, there’s no other words to describe it,” says Anthony Badovinac, Osceola County prosecuting attorney. “I have no idea what’s going on in somebody’s mind that causes them to do that. The proofs will take us where they will, we’ve just don’t know a whole lot.”

The 3-year-old child is expected to live.

If convicted, Wilkinson faces up to life in prison.

These are charges only. Wilkinson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
