Biden Open to Breaking Up $2 Trillion Infrastructure Plan Into Smaller Bills

While President Biden continues to push his more than $2 trillion infrastructure package, White House officials say he’s now open to breaking up pieces of his plan into smaller bills.

A Senate committee held its first hearing on the infrastructure plan yesterday.

Four cabinet officials tasked with selling the plan defended the large price tag during the hearing.

Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo says we need to invest to grow and compete.

Republicans argue the bill needs to be targeted and not raise taxes.

Lawmakers from both parties have suggested the Biden administration seek out more investment from states to help fund the bill.
