August Trial Set for Officers Charged With Aiding & Abetting Floyd Murder

Three other officers facing charges in George Floyd’s death are expected to be tried together in August.

All three are charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder, and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.

A jury found former officer Derek Chauvin guilty of murdering Floyd in a brutal arrest situation last May.

He could now get up to 40 years in prison for the second-degree murder charge, up to 25 years for third-degree murder, and up to 10 years for second-degree manslaughter.
