Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce Hosts Virtual Job Fair
As the summer months approach, the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce is looking to connect employers and new workers virtually.
The chamber hosted an online job fair earlier Monday, specifically for college and high school students looking for summer employment. This virtual space allows employees to get acquainted with their potential employers and set up a secondary interview.
The chamber says they currently have plenty job openings in a variety of fields, but haven’t seen the number of employees sign up to register for their second job fair, which is now being pushed back until May 10 to allow more people to sign up.
“We really really need that callout to the community members, that there is a job for you and you are needed in the workforce more than ever right now,” said Nikki Devitt, president of the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce. “We depend not only on our hospitality industry and our tourism industry in these summer months, but we depend on all of it working together going forward as well.”
The next virtual job fair is scheduled for Monday may 10th from 3-5 p.m. To register, visit here.
