Half of Adults in the U.S. Have Received One Dose Of Coronavirus Vaccine

The U.S. has reached a new milestone in the pandemic: half of all adults in the United States have now received the vaccine.

According to new data released by the CDC Sunday, 50% of U.S. adults have gotten at least one covid shot.

They say more than 209 million total doses have been administered, and 25% of the population have now been fully vaccinated.

Since Saturday, there have been 3.5 million shots in arms. This brings the country’s seven day average to 3.2 million doses per day.

Monday will also mark a milestone in the pandemic as coronavirus vaccines will become available to all Americans ages 16 and older.
