White House: US Not Dependent on Johnson & Johnson for Vaccination Goals

Andy Slavitt, the White House Senior Advisor for COVID-19 Response, says the U.S. is not dependent on Johnson & Johnson to hit Johnson Vaccine Issues Cbs Screenshot vaccination goals.

This comes after some problems at an independent manufacturing facility that makes the drug that goes into the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

That plant, under the company Emergent BioSolutions, does not yet have FDA Authorization to send out its material.

That has led to delays in Johnson & Johnson vaccine deliveries.

Slavitt says that’s not a concern as far as overall supply and availability.

He added that there are enough doses to continue vaccinating Americans at 3 million per day, and then some.
