National Cherry Festival Begins Plans for Safe 2021 Cherry Celebration
The National Cherry Festival has started planning events for the week of July 3 to July 10.
The festival says that staff and volunteers have evaluated each event to provide the community and travelers a safe and healthy festival experience.
NCF is providing virtual events as well as relocating other events so people can spread out and be socially distanced.
You can expect to see the return of the Porch Parade and GT Pie Company’s Virtual Make & Bake.
The festival says that there will not be an airshow or concert for 2021, but they hope for their return in 2022.
You can get a 2021 commemorative pin, but the festival says 2020 pins will still be honored for the beer tent this year.
“Everything on our website, Cherryfestival.org, has a full calendar of events with a full disclaimer that anything could change at any time. We are prepared to back up on events or move forward on other ones like the parades and fireworks. We’re just making decisions as we need to and we’re looking forward to celebrating our 95th anniversary this year,” said Kat Paye, Executive Director of NCF.
You can stay updated with their event calendar here.
