Man Accused Of Spraying Capitol Police Officer With Bear Spray Asks To Be Released on Bail
A man accused of using bear spray on a Capitol police officer is asking the Justice Department to be released on bail.
Julian Khater pleaded not guilty to assaulting police. He is accused of spraying officer Brian Sicknick, who died after the riots.
During a court hearing on Friday, Khater’s attorney and prosecutors discussed a bail package.
Khater has been in police custody since his March 14th arrest.
He is expected back in court later next week.
