White House Establishes Commission To Study Supreme Court

Washington Dc

The White House is establishing a commission to study the United State’s Supreme Court.

The 36-member team will examine justice term limits, debate changing the size of the court and decide if  case selection rules and practices should change.

The commission was developed from a pledge when then candidate Joe Biden was facing pressure from democrats to take a stand on court expansion.

Liberals want to add more seats to bring balance to the bench controlled by Conservatives.

The panel is made up of former federal judges and advocates and academics with a range of ideas and backgrounds.

The commission is expected to begin public hearings in the coming weeks, and report back to President Biden in six months.
