Michigan health officials are reporting 6,892 new coronavirus cases, and 74 additional deaths.
However, the MDHHS says 57 of those deaths were identified during a vital records review.
Michigan has now had 738,023 total confirmed coronavirus cases, and 16,500 total confirmed covid-related deaths.
As of Thursday, 5,132,443 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered across the state.
And as of Friday, 587,283 Michiganders are reported to have recovered from the virus.
The state defines ‘recovered’ as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).
