U.K. Coronavirus Variant Now Most Prevalent Strain in the U.S.

The CDC says the more contagious COVID-19 variant first found in the United Kingdom is now the most prevalent strain in the U.S.

That’s contributing to a recent surge of cases in Michigan and other states.

The CDC is also warning of a potential fourth wave of COVID-19 cases.

More adults in their 30s and 40s are being hospitalized with severe cases of the virus, and there are now high case rates among 12 to 17 year olds.

Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are all running vaccine trials on kids as more states open eligibility to all adults.
