From Michigan, With Love: Spring Edition 2021

Friend of ‘the four’, Franklin Dohanyos gives us another round of wonderful local products perfect for everyday use, or gift ideas for the holidays to come.

“You know Cinco de Mayo is coming up in about a month, and I’ve got some great salsa for you to try,” said Franklin. “Little Diablos Salsa Company comes in seven delicious flavors, and vary fromFmwl Salsa hot to mild”. The company is located in Whitmore Lake, and is a certified Women’s Business Enterprise, by the Great Lakes Women’s Business Council. They use all-natural ingredients, and their salsas are gluten-free and kosher. “You can put their salsa on pretty much everything,” Franklin explained. “Pork rinds, pizza, celery sticks, pretzels, and you can look for them at your local grocery store. If not, their salsa can be delivered directly to your home through mail-order”. For more information about Little Diablos Salsa Company, click here.

Franklin surprised us this time, with a very unique product made in Frankenmuth. “When you go to sleep, there are dust mites all over the bed, pillows, and our bodies,” he mentioned. “There’s a wool mill right in the heart of Frankenmuth, that produces a wide variety of wool products to help you sleep better and cleaner”. They actually use machinery from 1894, wash the wool, process it and it comes out beautiful. “Their pillows are soft, and help repel dust mites, and excellent support for your back and neck”.  To learn more about Frankenmuth Woolen Mill, click here.
