Hearings Postponed for Four Men Charged in Whitmer Kidnapping Plot Due to COVID-19
The high COVID case numbers in the region are affecting a major court case in northern Michigan.
Michael and William Null, Eric Molitor and Shawn Fix will not be in court next week as originally planned for a preliminary hearing.
They are all accused in the plot to kidnap or possibly kill Governor Whitmer.
The court administrator says there are safety concerns about holding the hearing face-to-face.
Due to the complexity of the case, along with the number of exhibits and witnesses both sides prefer to wait until the hearing can be held in person.
