Two People In Missaukee County Have Died After Murder-Suicide
Michigan State Police are investigating a murder-suicide in Missaukee County.
Troopers were called to a West Branch Township home around eight p.m. Saturday for a welfare check.
There they found a 62-year old woman dead inside the home.
Troopers ruled her death as a murder, and identified a suspect.
Around one a.m. Sunday, Cadillac police officers found the suspect and tried to pull the suspect over.
However, he led them on a chase, and shot at officers.
State police say the chase led them to use stop sticks along M-55 near M-66. The man’s car was stopped, but he fled from police on foot.
Later on in the morning around six a.m., troopers say they found the man on a golf course. He died by suicide.
They say the man was related to the victim.
