Connecting Manistee County Launches Broadband Internet Survey
Manistee County leaders are working to get a better idea of the area’s internet needs.
To do so, Connecting Manistee County just launched a broadband internet survey.
It aims to collect information about where internet service is reliable and where it’s not.
The group hopes this 3 month long survey will help them find solutions to bring better and more affordable internet access to the county.
Local leaders say this past year showed them just how much areas of northern Michigan lack access to broadband and want as many people to take the survey as possible.
“The more we have, the more we can map the county out and say, ‘Well, it looks like the city might be okay, but when you get away from the city, we have some huge problems,’ and how do we conquer that,” said Steve Fosdick, with Connecting Manistee County.
