Supreme Court: Hilary Clinton Doesn’t Need to Appear in Deposition for Email Case
The Supreme Court will not force former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton to appear for a deposition in a case about her email.
The conservative group Judicial Watch had asked her to appear in the case.
The group is seeking to publicly release emails from a private server Clinton used during former President Barack Obama’s first term.
The lawsuit is relate to the 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya.
A federal judge first ruled Clinton must appear for the disposition. Then in August, an appeals court reversed that decision.
Clinton has provided written answers to questions about the emails in a different lawsuit.
