The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says they’ve responded to at least 40 wildfires since Friday.
The say the dry winter and recent sunny skies have led to a number of brush fires around the state.
A fast-moving grass fire in Alcona County burned nearly 100 acres on Monday.
And 600 acres burned in Manistee County on Monday.
The DNR says there were at least 20 fires burning at one time on Monday.
