Betsie Valley Trail Friends Want to Improve Safety Signage at M-115 Intersection

Friends of the Betsie Valley Trail are looking to improve safety along the 22 mile stretch through Benzie County.

The trail crosses M-115 between Beulah and Frankfort, and the Friends say it can be a dangerous intersection.

The group wants to raise nearly $7,000 to improve the signage as trail users approach M-115.

So far they’ve received a $1,500 grant from the Rebecca M. Mackay Endowment.

They also have two anonymous donors matching donations from the community up to $1,500 dollars.

The Friends hope to raise the funds in time to install new signs this spring.
