AstraZeneca Vaccine Study May Have Used Outdated Information
U.S. federal health officials are concerned that AstraZeneca may have used outdated information in their vaccine study.
The Data and Safety Monitoring Board said Tuesday that some relevant data to the study may not have been provided.
AstraZeneca has been hoping to rebuild trust in their vaccine after blood clots were reported.
The European Medicines Agency has since ruled the vaccine to be safe, but it is still not approved in the U.S.
Once all the data from the study is submitted, the FDA will determine whether AstraZeneca’s vaccine can be approved for emergency use.
