Michigan’s Democratic Congressional Delegation Tours Ford Field COVID-19 Vaccine Site
Michigan’s Democratic Congressional Delegation toured the vaccination site at Ford Field on Monday.
The site will be open seven days a week for eight weeks administering an additional 6,000 doses.
Lawmakers say it’s a step to returning to normalcy.
“There’s going to be plenty of vaccine available and now our challenge is to get that vaccine in people’s arms. What we’re seeing at ford field is a major step forward. It’s a major step of community coming together with state and federal government to make a difference. This is how we get through the pandemic,” said Sen. Gary Peters.
Everyone in the state over the age of 16 will be eligible for a vaccine on April 5.
