Michigan Health Officials Report 4,801 New Coronavirus Cases, 6 Deaths
Michigan continues to see rising cases.
Health officials are reporting 4,801 new coronavirus cases, and six additional deaths from Sunday and Monday. Each day averaged about 2,400 new cases a day.
Michigan has now had 629,612 total coronavirus cases and 15,903 total COVID-related deaths.
As of Thursday, 3,412,372 doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered across Michigan.
And as of Friday, 562,775 Michiganders have recovered from the virus.
The state defines ‘recovered’ as the number of persons with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis who are alive 30 days post-onset (or referral date if onset is not available).
